Tips for Strong Nails

Brittle nails that peel or split and break easily are a common complaint.

This often happens because nails are too dry, but another reason for brittle nails is that they are too soft.

Because of this, there are two cures that are often recommended:

Apply light moisturizer daily

If you apply a moisturizer to your nails and cuticles, then you will help to lock water into the nail, which is good for healthy, strong nails.

Avoid harsh chemicals.

In addition, to moisturizing your nails avoid putting them in harsh chemicals, such as cleaning products and acidic foods, such as lemons and oranges.

When working or cleaning, wear gloves to protect your skin and nails from damage — use vinyl gloves for wet work and cotton for dry work.
